Initial forum posts no later than Thurs night

More specific guidelines are embedded now in all courses expecting students to make an initial posting (as opposed to a reply posting) to each forum no later than Thursday night of each unit.

Why the clarification?

For several years, we’ve received occasional but regular feedback from students on course evaluations about how their class suffered when a fellow student, as a matter of practice throughout the course, waited until near the end of the unit to make an initial posting to forums.

Because of the continued feedback we’re getting about this and because the Rockbridge Seminary e-learning model is so dependent on the vitality of a learning community in which all students participate, the forum instructions have been written to be more specific about expectations.
