One word that describes me: Learner
In my spare time: Volleyball, reading, boardgames, playing Wii with my kids.
Favorite Bible verse: Eph 2:10
Spiritual hero: Barnabas
Vision: As a volunteer leader I really want to have a greater impact in ministry, and to do that I have to learn how to invest strategically into the lives of others. I want to learn how to use my equipping and encouragement gifts to build leaders who will themselves build people. It’s clear to me that seminary is not just for full-time pastors, but for anyone who wants to have a deeper biblical foundation for life and ministry.
Why I applied to Rockbridge Seminary: Rockbridge was an incredibly good fit for what I want to do at this stage in my ministry. The purpose-based curriculum design, learning approach, and emphasis on ministry competencies and projects in your ministry setting were ideal. Also, flexibility on when I do my work and a 100% online degree were critical. I also appreciate that the degree available is in Ministry Leadership.
What I like most about Rockbridge Seminary: The interaction with other people in the class is really excellent. I also love that the courses are both biblically sound and extremely practical. It fits my schedule perfectly – as a night owl I can put my evenings to good use and not take away from family time.
