A glimpse into seminary

“As stated earlier on this blog, I’ve jumped back into seminary this week. The first class at Rockbridge Seminary is the same for everyone. It’s called “Developing the Focused Life,” and I think it’s going to be awesome.”

“Frankly…I’m excited about it!

I’m also counting on one side-effect of this course being that I’ll get a better handle on working completely self-paced and on my own schedule, but with a sense of urgency, purpose, and desire to be efficient with the time I have. I like the tension that Rockbridge provides between a well-defined schedule (course work must be completed within a fixed time frame and interaction must offer both quality and quantity) and a loose structure that allows me the freedom to work when I’m inspired or when I’m in the mood. I think ministry offers the same tension – it is impossible to completely schedule every part of your work-week because “ministry happens.” Read all of “A glimpse into seminary”
